Default Golden Eagle Block (h23) help please

Does anyone know what size the bore of the sleeves are before "bore and hone"? Cause if the bore is already 87mm I dont wanna waste my money sending in my pistons.

Thanks
Bobby

The stock bore is 87mm in the H23. If it needs to be bored, I would assume you would want 87.5mm pistons.

you still have to do a hone job but 87mm is std sleeving on the h22/h23 motors. 81mm on the B series motor but a hone is required when installing the pistons

When we sleeve a block, and the customer does not indicate what bore size they will be using, we will then leave the bore about .03" under so your can take it out to stock size. If you ask for a certain bore size like 89 mm, then we leave the bore .03" under so it can be bored to 89 mm easily. So, to answer your question, if you told us stock, or nothing at all, then the block will be returned to you with a .03" under stock size bore!

Vince, i sent in a block about a year ago and said i was gonna use 84mm bore, but i was gonna get the bore and hone done locally. What size bore would it be when u guys sent it out? I figured it is still at 81mm right? Thanks, Paul

If we did things correctly, it should be .03 - .04" under 3.307 ( 84 mm ) making it about 3.272" bore.

Shipping from TX will cost about $35 and we can work around the rods. Please include and instruction sheet with the block that details work to be done as well as contact info and payment unless autorized before by a Golden Eagle rep. Thanks.
