Default Going turbo--quick question....

Going turbo and wanting to ask a few things. But first let me describe everything. I already have the Greddy Evo exhaust and Eibach Prokit lowering springs.
The kit that I am buying will include the Greddy TD05-18G turbo kit, type 31 intercooler, SRP 9:1 pistons with a blockguard (not definate on the pistons), HKS SS BOV, GReddy E-Manage , RC 370cc injectors (no I dont mean 310s), 2.5" downpipe, 2.5" testpipe, Autometer Boost and A/F gauge, Autometer Dual in dash bezel, Profec B, GReddy TT, Walbro fuel pump (intank), and GReddy oil catch can.
This is all being done on the b16a block. I am also adding a skunk2 intake manifold, MSD ignition, better tires, upgrade the brakes, and cam gears.

My question:
How much boost can the stock rods take? Which rods are best (i.e. crowler, eagle, etc.)? And what mods can actually help the torque out without replacing the head? I mean I could get a LS/GSR block, but I'm wanting to try and do this all on the B16 block.

hi Brian, I see your buying anthonys kit. PM me and maybe I can help you figure some of this stuff out.

to answer the thread. No one can really tell u exactly how much power rods can take. Most people usually upgrade when they go above the 300whp mark. If ur gonna put in the pistons and have the motor apart u might as well upgrade rods. Eagles are very affordable at around 350$ and they are plenty beefy. I know of a certain race car pushing 700whp+ on them.

are u wanting to increase low end torque? cause the only way to really do that is by upgrading to a bottem end w/ a lower r/s ratio or go to a larger bore. as for topend, theres millions of ways but I figure if u were asking about topend torque u would have called it hp.

btw, this is dustins friend chris w/ the turbo LS.
