Going Turbo or N20???
OK I want to go turbo and possibly a small shot of N20 like 50-75 but I don't know if I want to blow my motor. So N20 is making me a bit parenoid about going with it. Anyways turbo setup for my '99 Accord Lx 4cyl 5spd Vtech Sohc F23A1 motor. Should I go with a drag kit or get a custom one done or what? I am new to the racing import scene. I owned a lowered truck before I got this car. So should I go turbo before anything else on my car? I mean I am already saving up the money for a turbo cuz I plan on getting one but didn't know when the best time would be. I want to bore the engine and rebuild it completely and reinforce the whole block for racing. Any Help will be nice. And thanks in advance. Matt aka Jaguar
#1 Vtec not Vtech
#2 You don't know if you want to blow your motor? it doesn't seem you mean "blow" as in forced induction so why would anyone choose to blow up their motor?
#3 Not gonna even get into the lowered truck thing, but you probably shouldn't go around mentioning it
#4 Turbo directly requires fuel management/delivery, good breathing, suspension and good rubber for putting the power down, and brakes b/c 140 comes damn fast
#5 you got $6 to spend on properly setting up a turbocharged powerplant?
#6 engine work can wait until you blow your motor the first time, or you can have it done, then done again after you blow it
notes: n2o is nice for cooling intake charge on turbo applications
-n2o also helps alleviate lag in large, slow spooling turbo applications
-I'm gonna hate myself for posting
-I already hate myself for posting this
