going to the track tommrow, any prep needed?
Tommrow i will be running my first 1/4 with my turbo kit.
im trying to eclipse my previous best at the track (15.6 @ 88mph with just an intake and some 17"s)
im nervous though, for some reason i fear just ramming the **** out of the engine, the track is about 35 mins from home, so im weary of blowing it so far from home. then again i DO have AAA hehee.
but as for the turbo, what should i do to prep her for the 1/4.
i have 310s, 8:1 FMU on the DRAG kit. airtex inline pump, vafc slightly tuned and AVCR to run the helm. im gonna run at .5 bar (7.XX psi) dont plan to run any more then that.
also, they DO have race fuel there, i believe it is 108 (c8), if i put this in should i add a PSI or two? i think id rather keep the same psi (.5 bar) and just run more effecient. what do you guys think.
alsoooooooo (sorry ranting at this point) can anyone give me advice here, i have a set of 4 Kumho Victo-racer tires which are pretty much slicks at this point, they are mounted on a set of 14" Del Sol wheels. would you suggest running these over my S03's that are on 15" GSR rims? can you forcast any advantages? and perhaps give me some launch tips? turbos can be a bitch!

Just drop the psi on the front tires and pray for traction hehe. Try and get your 60ft times down each run.

i would recommend these things:
-a tire pressure gauge
-toolbox with the necessary sockets and ratchets
-jack
-4 quarts of oil
-coolant
-and a small compressor to put air back into your tires (if you're using street tires)
feel free to add anything else.

run the S03's on 20psi.. go around the water box.. do a quick burn out to get any rocks an stuff off.. launch around 3500 for your first time and adjust from there.. dont pay attention to the lights, just take your time and try to learn the track and how to launch your car.. u should be fine..

if you have koni yellows lock up the rear shocks as well as you can, do not run race fuel unless you go over like 10PSI, you can get away with running full advance timing untill there, the race fuel has to have slightly more advanced timing
