Default going fi questions..

alright here we go,
ive already read the sticky about turbo set up but i need more detailed answers to start shopping.

i have a stock b16 now. what exact setup should i get? hp goal is dd 250 or so and atleast up to 300 without messing with internals. is it safe?
i will be changing the springs and retainers..

should i purchase the greddy kit for 2100 on ebay or should i build it seperately? i want to spend 1500 or less if possible.. what do i need exactly to turbo my motor.. will i pass smog in ca? thanks for answering the noob questions.

goal is completely reachable

greddy kits are overrated/overpriced

piecing together is cheaper if you know where to look

as for smog, no clue florida doesn't test

Or you could buy those carb stickers that Greddy sells and try that, thats what seems to be the thing i see people doing in that crazy state. I am pretty sure that most peole with boosted cars in California dont run either one of those kits and they are still getting away with smog.

dont buy a greddy kit, they make **** for power and they are gay.

Peice together a good kit and 300 will be easy, and if u want more power in the future, its as esay as turning a ****.

if you need to pass smog, your choices are limited....if you dont have to bother with that stuff, you can easily make 300whp on stock, but that budget is really low....dont go to Ebay for your setup though....you dont want to waste your money
