Default GM knock sensor???

Has anyone adapted a GM knock sensor on instead of the OEM one. I was just wondering, cause the honda sensor cost about 3 times as much as a GM one.
& what knid of adapter would i use?

thanks

The GM sensor isn't as sensitive as the Honda sensor. I wouldn't try using the GM sensor with the stock ECU just because it should dull the knock sensing abilities of the stock ECU. When I was thinking of replacing my stock sensor with the GM sensor that came with my J&S safeguard I couldn't find any adapter. I was thinking of just getting a larger adapter and taping out the sensor port for it.

what do you mean by dull the capabitities. I wouldnt care for it beng less sensitive for detecting knock, just as long as it doesnt throw a CEL. Is there a down side to this?

Uh, yeah like it starts knocking and the GM sensor doesn't pick up on it in time for the ECU to compensate and kaboom.

Other than that, I don't see any problems!
