GLOWING RED!!!!!!!
After a run at the track yesterday, we popped the hood and my lovefab manifold was glowing red.
we looked ourselves like
Is this good or bad? EGT temps never went above 1200 F.

It is normal for prolonged boosting. I recommend getting it ceramic coated if you are going to be using it as a track car.

It is a street car that i also take to the track for fun... The manifold is heat wrapped but in the spots that the wrap dont cover you could see it glowing..
Heat wrap won't prevent a manifold from glowing, it just used to try and keep the heat within the piping.
The first time you see a glowing manifold in person its kinda startling haha. I remember my first time...freaked me out and I was like "WHOOOOAAA STOP!"

Saweet man!
Next time snap some pics! Super baller!
How's the setup holding together by the way? How much boost are you pushing?
I should be installing my vitaras + eagle rods soon!

Setup is improving
No tunning yet but we installed the GM3 bar and upped the boost to 14 PSI..
Yesterday i trapped 102mph on 2 runs and there was a run where i missed 3rd gear and still trapped 100mph so i guess that run could've been a good 104-105 mph...with no tunning yet..
I am going to do some baseline runs today at the dyno.. Im just waiting for my wideband to arrive to do a full tune.. Car feels like should be at 200-210whp right now with no dyno time.
problem is i have no traction..im hiting 2.5-2.7 on the 60fts

glowings normal. the wrap probably is the cause, as it cant cool down quick enough.
Remember, if you wrap the manifold the heat will only come out further down, i know id rather it was in the engine bay than next to the petrol tank!
It wont be rich, if anything it may be too lean, check your afr's.

****, you might be right. Maybe I was thinking too late of a spark that causes it to glow red too since it will burn more than normal in the exhaust mani.
Can anyone confirm this, if it's caused be lean or rich conditions? I was thinking rich since leftover fuel might still be burning.
