Default getting sick of open dp...

open dp is really getting annoying now lol (5 months of it) im trying to get some suggestions on which muffler to get. im just gunna extend my dp a lil and add a muffler, cuz im not a fan of having a big can out the back bumper. anyone have any suggestions? i wanna get a flex right after the dp, a lil more piping then a muffler, i dont mind it being a lil loud, but im not out to have the loudest one

thanks

I've always used Magnaflow mufflers for all my turbo set-ups. I got sick of the loud can mufflers and have since used Magnaflow and a resonator to tame down the noise a lot. Magnaflow mkes a lot muffler configurations so you can pretty much put them anywhere. My friends CRX has center exhaust using a small Magnaflow, looks clean and unique. Check out http://www.kteller.com this guy makes pre fabricated mandrel bent pipes up to 3" and any other parts you need for a nice exhaust set-up.

i used the "cherry bomb" muffler, then to a 3 inch turn down dump, like mustangs use.

moved all the sound to the back, kept me from being asphixiated from exhaust and almost dying!

and actually sounds good, you can pick em up for like 20 bux at discount auto parts, and they fit in the axhaust channel under the car

how does it sounds, can u somehow explain it?

i think im gunna get a strait 3" peice and use a vband clamp to extend the downpipe a lil and just get a muffler welded on but still have it sitting under the car, i dont want the muffler to stick out the back bumper.

do i have to get a flex pipe/joint?

damn how you can drive a car with an open DP on the street ?

a full 3 inch exhaust with only a resonator at the back is the way to go !

Turbo honda owners who think they're open DP is annoying should go in a ride with All Motor honda owners who run open header...now THAT is annoying as ****.

I am running 2.5 dp to 2.5 straight pipe with a resonator and to a magnaflow muffler. You can barely hear the exhaust out the back. The sound of the turbo is twice as loud as the exhaust. I luv it.

Magnaflow part # 12641 as seen here -> http://www.magnaflow.com/02pro...d=302 <- is going right behind my DP. Then It will make the 90* bend before the rear axle and exit on the passenger side just in front of the rear wheel .....

My Thermal (turbo) catback exhaust isn't that loud. Consider that one...

just go to summit racing and order a catco hi-flow cat and get rid of the gas fume smells and tone down the exhaust a good bit all in one without increasing your backpressure a bunch.
