Getting ready to put the new engine in!!!
Alright I tried not to bore everybody with 50 look at what I just got for my build posts. Instead I decided to post up now when the engine is ready to go in the car. I do have some tech questions though.....
While turning the cams with the new valve train it seems pretty hard to turn both cams. I am running supertech valvetrain with the strongest springs they make I attributed the heavy springs to this, any thoughts.
Also what does everybody suggest to break in a new turbo motor, anything special?
Alright well here are the picks, Also thanks to RED SHIFT, LOVEFAB, BNJMN, ARTURBO, SPARK RACING inc. and everybody else that I bothered with stupid questions
Engine B18B1 RS sleeved thanks to spark racing
JE pistons
Eagle rods
Lovefab manifold
GT37 Garret turbo

That manifold looks crazy.. i cant tell by the pics but is it high enough to have a good oil drain line?
Everyone has their own opinion on how to break in a motor.. just search it and choose what you think will work best for you.. I would break the motor in without boost personally but its all up to you..
Nice build by the way, post numbers once you get them.

Re: Getting ready to put the new engine in!!! (dtmamg)
Well I actually got lucky getting the manifold off of Bnjmn on the forum who had cody make it for him. The manifold has a divided collector( #1 and #4 merge together and #2 and #3 go together) which matches to my turbos divided housing. I wanted to go with this style of setup to promote quicker spool times with a large turbo. I just got lucky cus Bnjmn wanted to go with a smaller turbo for roadracing, and I want a nice big one for drag racing.

Wow. That's insane! That oil drain line looks like it'll have to take a 45 degree angle down to the oilpan...kinda "iffy" on that part though.
And even the wastegate has it's own merge collector! I'm guessing this thing isn't A/C compatible is it?

yup a 45 with 12an line to the pan, and I don't think A/C is an option

like the manifold... but you may want to ceramic coat it ... the more surface area the more heat lost to the engine bay ... and boy , do you got alot of surface area there
