Default this is getting old

ok. got the new fuel injectors today, changed the oil etc, and no longer does it sound like im getting a fuel cut off at around 3-4 k or at idle. but now i get it hard at 5k, but only in 2nd gear and up, once it gets to about 5.5k, it stops. so wtf?

tony and me are gonna do a valve adjustment this weekend and see if that clears it up.
and for you uberdata people that may know how to tune. is it possible for a chip to get corrupt? listen to this, from may thru july, the car ran perfect, never a problem. then one day, bam, the car starts showing symptoms of a fuel cut off...and so on. ive changed spark plugs, numerous times, checked my spark, checked cap, rotor, replaced fuel injectors, replaced fuel pump, new air filter, new fuel filter, have only used high octane gas. so is it possible that the chip some how got fubared??

i need some helps guys, this car is starting to get on my nerves. now i know i only have to put up with it for a few months until the new motor goes in, but i wanna have fun before the winter.

Try another distributor before anything else.

whats your spark plug gap? i am having a nearly identical problem....

first gear RIPS all the way up, and then once and a while in 2nd it will hit a weird "revlimiter" kinda thing, just BAM stops for a second (almost violently) and then continues running, perfectly, never hurt a thing.

it only does it sometimes (seems like when its colder)

i've had a couple very knowledgable people tell me its the plugs/gap.

it ran great on the plugs for a while, been on them a year or so. then, all the sudden, it seems to be blowing out the spark, we'll see.. fixing it this weekend, or trying.

well i had the same exact problem until about a week ago, it started of the same, in second gear I would go wot and at about 3 thousand rpms it would kinda backfire and jolt like when you axidently downshift when your way too high in gear to do it. the problem percisted until i stoped geting spark and i replaced my dizzy and problem solved now the thing runs smooth all the way up.

Sup? Hey sometimes the ignitor inside the Dizzy goes bad mine did that and I replaced it and there it went working fine again. Try that before throwing away your Dizzy they starting to cost as much as a header these days.
