gettin' tuned...
anybody from the bay area know a good place to get my car tuned? from what i heard, there aren't many good places that can tune cars around here. my friends don't trust the ppl in norcal when it comes to tuning turbos.
our rate is $150 an hour. i can tune your partial throttle too. http://www.evolutionmr.net/pic...2.mpg here's a video, it may be taken down soon if its too much bandwidth.
our shop is located in brisbane between sf and south sf. http://www.rcrewracing.com

i've heard good things about lawrence at DSR (dynospot racing) or redzone performance, but nothing from personal experience. i will be needing a place to tune soon so i would like to know also.
SEFIxCivic i have a b16 with very alrge 1000cc injectors. Except for the switch from closed loop to open loop the car runs great. It leans out and hesistates when it goes into open loop. Currently i'm running uberdata.

well i don't tune uberdata, so i'm not sure if my advice for you would be valid. but it sounds like your accel enrichment isn't set correctly. im not sure if uberdata has the option to modify that parameter, so i don't know how helpful that advice is.
not to jack the thread but, i heard that neptune is better than hondata? which im not really sure of but i was wondering is neptune like hondata with that box attached to the ecu or is it like uberdata(ghetto chip solder into the ecu?)?
once again i apologize for t hread jacking, it doesnt matter how many miles you have just as long as ur motor is healthy, i know people who are running turbo kit with 130k mile engines..

its not that 500 isn't a great price, but when i'm 700 away from a nice built bottom end, and i've got a solid street tune (BTW-at the expense of leaning out part, and richining out the other part of my fuel maps I was able to get rid of the tps issue. woot) its hard to throw away my block to get an ems i cant tune
Is the ems set up to run closed loop off of a wideband? I just dont feel very safe not being able to change things if i want. My car doesn't run 'consistantly' the AFR change based on how many people i have in my car. Its not like you dont know what i'm saying
And quite frankly, when i pay someone to tune my car, i'd like to think i'll be paying for experience rather than profeciency with software. I'm sure you can tune a car using any ems. How long will it take you to adapt your methods to a new system? Not very long.

well, the thing is that with freeware the reliability is questionable. i'm sure it works fine to an extent, but on the dyno time is money. i have had other professional tuners tell me how freeware sometimes has bugs and how in general the tuning process is more tedious.
how i'm able to offer neptune at that price is because i know how long the process takes.
