GE VS. Darton sleeves
Alright, before any flaming or anything i've done a few searches on both sleeves. I'm thinkin about going with GE just because it's little cheaper and i've heard alittle better about them.
I was just curious if people could post their experiences with them and also how long it took to get your block back. Also, how much would would it roughly come out to after shipping and install. This would be going into my b18b so i'm wondering would it be worth to bore it to 2.0 L or do i need to make it a 2.0 L for the sleeves to fit.
Please help me out, i'm not too sure on this.
Thanks, John

Re: GE VS. Darton sleeves (nY's FiNeSt)
I would recommend Darton sleeves, 93LSivic on here is an authorized deal and installer of their sleeves also Abacus Racing here in Va Beach has had great success without a mishap (757)363-8878. I have had my own probs with GE BUT that is my EXPERIENCE as well as 2 other friends GE blocks. COuld be an ISOLATED case but I have had great great SUCCESS with my Darton sleeves THANK GOD! Good luck whichever route you use!

Re: GE VS. Darton sleeves (Boostfed)
I know boostfed had problems with GE a couple of times.
As for my experiences with GE have been awesome. Example being: When a shady shop did a headgasket job for me they ruined my block threads and the head lifted about a month after. I called GE and told them that it may have been a sunken sleeve (at the time I didnt know what happened). Ted over there at GE overnighted me a headgasket at no charge (gasket or shipping). Their turn around time is very good.
From my own personal experiences with GE i have to give them the ol

Re: GE VS. Darton sleeves (nY's FiNeSt)
I went with Golden Eagle. They did a good job and took care of me. Vince answered ALL my questions from December to January. I finally got a block for free from Bert-O, had it acid dipped and sent it off. I will go ahead and post prices since I get PM's asking how much I paid for everything after I post about my block
* Shipping to California - $35.66
* Sleeve/Deck/O-Ring - $750.00
* Bore/Hone - $125.00
* Line Bore - $280.00
* Shipping from California (pistons, rings, pins, block) - $42.00

Not yet I wish it was. There is still some work left to do to the head and tranny. Also, the 00 Si is going to be gone tomorrow and I need to find a new chassis (EG). Fun stuff! I saw your project though. That thing is fscking sweet.
