Default Gauges/Controllers....

I know right now I am goin to get AEM EMS, but I know I need a Boost Controller, Wideband, map sensor, and a few other controllers. Then for the gauges I know I am goin with Autometer Boost, but other than that I am lost. I have heard get EGT, Fuel Pressure, Oil Temp. and a bunch of others. But what do I need cause I am goin to build a car to its max power it can make. Thanks

I would recommend a oil pressure gauge and as far as the boost controller all you need is the gm solenoid and the aem will do the rest.

So buying the AEM EMS eliminates all the gauges? What exactly is a GM Soleniod? And I wouldnt need any of these....Boost, Air/Fuel, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp., Water Temp., Pyrometer, or Fuel Pressure. Thanks

Ok with the FAQ forum I read, I also bumped into alot of people saying Hondata and alot saying AEM EMS. Personally I am goin with AEM EMS but is there anything else I need...Gauge, controller, wise? Thanks Cause alot of those forums jsut told they had many opinions and unlimited adjustablity, but none helped me on what else is needed besides that to have everything covered on a Forced Induction Engine. Thanks

Id say you would need, boost and oil pressure. thats all we run in our cars. if you wanna little bit more data, oil temp, fuel pressure you should put on the rail. If you use the AEM with a gm boost solenoid...theres a little bit of stuff you gotta do but its pretty simple...but it seems like you havent done something like this before...so are you sure you wanna try this kinda thing on your own?

I aint tuning my car myself I am just wanting to know what I need. Cause I am goin to build my motor but when it comes to tuning I aint messing with it. I just wanna know about how much I have to invest and make sure I invest my money wisely. I dont wanna go out and buy 50 gagues and not need any of them. I am just asking what gauges I need so i know about hte amount of money to spend and go ahead and order some of them.

apparently you're not reading enough man.

i know we're all here to help each other out, but all of this has been covered a few thousand times before.

when you're curious about something, feel free to go outside of honda-tech to search (ie. the use of an egt gauge).

good luck.

I know I can search different places to find stuff but my main focus on this is what gauges and controllers do I need...the purpose of a EGT gauge I really could care less unless I am needing one. People tell me go with AEM EMS, then boost, oil press, oil temp, and fuel press gauges. IF that is all I need then everything i need is covered. Thanks
