Gasket material?
Can i use that gasket material they sell at auto parts stores to make my own gaskets for my turbo kit? Just wondering if the material can take high temps.

Re: Gasket material? (b18bturbo)
There is only the gasket for the turbo to manifold, and for the wastegate to manifold right? And you dont want that rubber **** on the manifold, it will burn!!!!

Re: Gasket material? (SlowB16)
luckily where i worked this summer i stole some grapholock from the stock room, its used on all the boilers and turbines that go up to 2200degrees... i figured this would be suitable for my custom 3" exhaust...

Re: Gasket material? (GudeH23a)
yeah i kinda figured the rubber ones would burn. I was thinking of the paperish type gaskets. I don't know what material it is. I'll check again to see if the Drag kit came with a gasket for the turbo and mani. What about the dp and turbo? Do those pieces need a gasket between them?
