Default Is the gas still good?

my car has been down since may due do blown piston rings. i completed the rebuild and in the final steps of the install. can the gas that was in the tank still be good or must i put an additive in,or should i just put in more fresh gas to mix with the old? i believe i have over half a tank.

I would eithe r fill it with the highest octane you can get, or a safer way would jsut be to syphon the gas and give it to a buddy if anyone has a beater second car.. hehe

when u say may, do u mean may of 2004, if so, your gas is bad, you need to drain it

The additive goes in before you store it (Sta-bil).

I'd suggest draining the tank and cleaning it . You may clog your pump witht he slush thats in there now ...

If thast not an option get the highest octane possible 100 if its availble and mix it with whatever you have in it ATM. Try not to beat on it any untill you have atleast went through what is in there now .

like I said, I never had a problem.
Just start it on that and go to the gas station. Im sure your not gonna be boosting it that quickly. youll prob need a rfill anyway by the time you get the partial throttle maps done.
