When I rode in my little brother's car I got out stinking like exhaust. He's driving open manifold and that's what I figured the reason was but I've heard of other people having the same problem with a full exhaust. Anyone else have the same problem? I'd imagine that with a full exhaust and no fuel leaks there should be no smell.

 

if u install a turbo on your car get used to it.

 

Full exhaust you'll still smell it from the wastegate from you boost unless its closed loop.

 

So every trubo car with an external wastegate makes the driver smell like exhaust? How do you guys take women out?

lol, i'm already used to the smell... damn exhaust leaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I run open downpipe, and don't smell like exhaust after boosting. I can usually pop the hood after a run and not even smell exhaust. However, I run a dumptube...maybe these guys aren't.

 

That's the key...Learn something new everyday.

 

i learned that one the hard way myself .

 

Its only going to smell if you boost i.e. when the wastegate opens up.
