So i plan on boosting my ls with a super 60. Now i know turbonetics makes a super 60 turbo but it is about $250 more than the garrett super 60. Does anyone know of any differences between the 2 two turbos? Turbonetics vs Garrett Super 60

 

Really there is no difference between the two. One uses Garrett components, the other does not. There are also options that Garrett may not have such as turbine/compressor housing size options or aesthetic options like polished housings.

One of the original monikers for "supa 60" was not a small disco potato, but rather a very large turbo (60mm inducer maybe). So super 60 in one of the turbo brands is completely different from a Garrett.

 

also, bearings are probably better in the turbonetics. Personally, Im using the garrett super 60 and i love it.

My understanding was that Garrett/Honeywell was a parent company of Turbonetics. Garrett also never made an official "Super 60" just a T3 60 Trim, the REAL "Super 60" was Turbonetics only and actually outflowed the Garrett T3 60 Trim. This is all **** read online so idk the truth of it, but I figured I would add some input to it...

 

Turbonetics hasn't been associated with Garrett/Honeywell Turbo Technologies since 2001-2002. They are not a parent company and are their own entity. The same is with Precision Turbo and Engine.
