fully built sohc turbo
im a firm believer of the sohc turbo setup so i have a couple of questions?
1)which d series motor is the best to boost and build and why?
i currently have a d16a6 civic si ef hatch if that maters
2)what should the bottom end consist of? pistons, rods, crank, boring, etc.
3)what should the top end consist of? cams, porting, valves, etc.
4)what turbo setup is ideal for power of atleast 400hp & 300lb ft torque pump gas?
im thinking the gt30r
5) what head and block should i use from different years of the sohc motor and why?
6) what trans should i use and why, anything to the gears?
7)what fuel system and injectors etc should i use?
8) tunning and engine management?
ived searched but nothing to solid, and money no question. please let me know your guys opinion on this setup

1. any d16 that is not a d16y. the d16y series has had oiling problems and the blocks are prone to spin bearings. d15s are hard to find rods for(d15b=same size as a d16 though)
2. search
3.search
4. that is tough one for pump gas I think your setting your goal a little high for pump gas unless you are going all out and sleeving the block. shoot for 300-350whp on pump and there are plenty of turbos some sort of hybrid t3/t4 should do the trick. look up garret turbos, holset, borgwarner, mitsubishi, IHI, turbonetics, etc. to see what people are running.
5. is your choice, none flow that well debatabley the best flowing head would be the z6 and y8 but z6
6. usually d-series transmissions are good for around 400whp and shorter gears equals more acceleration(look up the transmission that you want to use)
7. You should obviously use some injectors that are capable of your goals, walborro 255lph should be ok, there are better pumps though, just one I know off the top of my head.
8. there are lots of tuning programs around some of the better ones are probably ectune, hondata, crome, crome pro and neptune. your probably going to have to find a tuner nearest you.
any of these questions could have been answered with the search button you. when searching click on the archived button and if you dont find it immediately, reword your question. good luck, sohc boosted is where its at.
