Default Full Race topmount on a CRX?????

anyone have any experience with this manifold on a b series powered crx??? I am looking to use this manifold with the 4" down pipe. I am guessing some cutting on the cross member will be required. what about the core suport??? the turbo will be a t3/67t HO or a GT35R not 100% sure yet
Any help would be awsome
Thanks

Where to start...

There are currently 3 open threads about top mount manifolds in a CRX. There is MUCH LESS room in a CRX engine bay. The first reason the Full-Race manifold wont fit is due to their wastegate placment. The only way I could possibly see getting around this would be to run a air-to-water intercooler. Next measure the amount of room from the valve cover to the inside of the hood on a CRX I doubt a T67 would even fit in that location. I'm running a SC61 and it is almost against the valve cover, in the head light housing, and almost touching the hood. If you're talking about modifying a stock crossmember there will be nothing left of it if you cut away a spot for a 4" downpipe. My dad and I made a topmount for my crx for this season and there are pictures of it floating around here. Between the radiator, wastegate, downpipe, turbo, and frame I would bet that you can not find more than a half inch of free space. I would almost go as far as saying that there will never be a topmount manifold on the market for common retail for a CRX B-Series chasis.

the problem with a top mount in an EF chassis is not our manifold and its not the wastegate positioning. The problem is simple the fact that the compressor inlet is right up on the headlight. You cant run a top mount and a headlight in an EF, thats really all there is to it.

if any of our customers want something custom made (most do) and something with a custom wastegate outlet or whatever you need, we can/will make it.

Well put, one of many reasons. It's a great idea but it's dissapointing that its so difficult to pull off.
