Default fuel pump for turbo

can anyone tell me if there is much of a difference between : in-line fuel pump, and a in tank pump??? i plan on doin my turbo soon and i know i need to get a new fuel pump(just cuz the pump in my car is old '91 ish , but it still works) and the car is an ef and i dont wanna have to drop the tank, so would i still be safe with a in-line pump? homemade turbo setup: t-25 turbo (ill boost 8psi) 440cc injectors a 12:1 fmu my friend is goin to get me a "program chip" he knows how to make the chips and it will be intercooled

if your friend can program your chip, you wont need the FMU. For basic boost apps, an in tank Walbro 255 will be perfect. An inline pump to assist your stock is ok, but not ideal if you ask me. One pump is simpler and easier. Dropping the tank isn't that bigof a deal. Just make sure you are almost out of gas before you start!

why does everyone complain about the fuel pumps being loud...?
i have my seats out and i still cant hear anything
maybe its cause of the 3" open DP but i still cant hear it at idle
