fuel pump and fmu
I'm about ready to have my turbo put on, but I still need to have some things made up for me. I'm just wondering if I can install my FMU and fuel pump in the mean time. If so, what are the benefits or drawbacks if any in doing so? I just want to try and get some of the install stuff out of the way. Other questions I have are, will hooking up my fuel pump result in a higher fuel pressure or will it just allow more fuel to flow to the injectors and fuel filter? Also, where is the best place to hook up an inline fuel filter? I've heard in the back by the fuel tank, but in regards to the engine bay, before or after the fuel filter? Finally, does the FMU go before or after the stock fpr? Thanks guys

Re: fuel pump and fmu (1)
Okay, I did a few searches and wasn't able to find the info that I require. I just want to know if my fuel would be okay if I installed the fmu and the fuel pump on an NA motor for the mean time. thanks again.

Answers:
1. The FMU won't affect NA car operation. Ok to install.
2. Fuel pump install may abnormally raise fuel pressure if the regulator cannot bypass enough fuel, but if it is a mid-range fuel pump it won't make a difference. Sorta Ok to install
3. Inline fuel filter should be close to the rail. But why? Are you replacing the stock one or using two?
4. FMU goes after the stock FPR.
You're welcome.

Re: fuel pump and fmu (RGAZ)
Doesnt the FMU go before the FPR. Dont you take the line going into the fpr off and plug it into the bottom of the FMU? Then a line from the side of the FMU into the stock FPR. And the top port goes to vacuum? Am I wrong?
