Fuel Pressure Dropping!! Help.

255 Walboro pump wired to a 14v
Tuned on Crome Pro
Car was on 111 Tracktek leaded fuel and was on 23lbs of boost. The tuner and I decided to leave the car at 23lbs because the fuel pressure was dropping at 7k. Went from 48lbs of pressure to 62lbs of pressure and back to 50lbs. I used 16 guage wire to rewire the pump, could using this small wiring cause my pressure to drop like that? I was told that I needed to use atleast 12 guage for rewiring the pump to a battery. The pump is directly wired to the battery and fuel filter is brand new so im kinda stomped on why the pressure is dropping. Could it be the 680cc injectors maxing out? Any sugguestions???
