Default fuel issues with gsr

Got a b18c1 running 11.5:1 compression, got a knock sensor code. Running it right now on stock fuel system, with 93 octane gas, on the street. Is this going to yield a serious detonation problem? Could the knock sensor code be related to this? I know this belongs in the tech forum but you guys here are the best i've heard, thanks for any imput

BTW: it is running also on obd2, i know that is a bad idea from the start, but am working on that

the first step would be to determine (or tell us) why you have a knock sensor code.

we went over the harness with a fine tooth comb before reinstalling it back on the engine, the knock sensor was never removed from the block. It is still 81mm bore, just a re-hone, and install of the internals. thats what has me thinking that it is not a wiring, or a sensor failure
