What??!!

Can you explain fried piston? it melted? Your rings are shot?

What are you tuning with? ....You said you dont want to mess with the tune, and it seems thats exactly what you're going to need to do.

the most important question how your piston look at?black, orange, purple, cracked and where?

Execisive engine temperature can damage a piston.

Pic of what happened when i pulled the rings off. " to the left are the peices "

It def. Had carbon build up on top of each dome but they where brown around the edges where the Teflon either melted or rubbed away. The cylander walls are still in great shape though

Too aggressive of a tune for stock pistons... detonation broke that piston

Figured it may have been a mixture. When the new pistons come in it will def. Get a re tune after i let the rings seat in good. It was running pretty lean before the ring lands went, but lasted 20k miles. Once i get this running an settle into my new place next month I am gonna search for a B20 block to build an sleeve with a lower compression. The Nippon's are 10.95/1
Currently running a B16A with Arp's, stock polished crank an rod's, Nippon Pistons 10.95, Ported/polished head, OEM Honda HG, Turbonetics Drag kit with .57trim t3/t4, 3" exhaust, DSM injectors, SSQ Bov an Tial Waste gate on 7lbs tuned on S100 "hondata"

Made 268Whp an 197ft trq on 7lbs didn't get a chance to run it on the track. Nearest track for me is 2hr's away

Stock pistons are like a coin flip...I've seen ring lands crack that I know we're under timed for safety sake...it might have been too aggressive but you can't say that for certain

Yea that is true, but I've never seen just cylinder pressure break omr, normally it's a spike of some sort
