Fresh JRSC gsr build wont start :(
I just finished my JRSC gsr motor. Everything is wired up except the knock sensor and the oil pressure sensor. Does that matter? Anyways, when we are cranking it we are not getting vacuum in the intake. We actually feel pressure thats pulsating. Pressure also come out of the throttle body. So we disconnected the charger belt and it started up and idle (kinda rough) the it died as soon as i open the throttle. And we still feel pressure Any ideas? Has anyone ever had this problem? Compression is way over 250 on all cylinders. I adjusted the timing belt looks dead on, same with the distributor.

check to make sure you dont have the TPS and MAP sensor plugs mixed up.
also with the key on engine no running does the check engine light go out or does it stay on?

if the check engine light stays on you have a sensor unplugged or mixed up......
im not sure if the CEL will stay on with the knock sensor unplugged but any other sensor will cause the light to stay on......
find out the code it's throwing.

timing could be drastically off....check your timing belt and cam gears and make sure it is timed correctly before cranking it any more.

yea i checked it twice, i even pulled it off and redid it to make sure, it spins freely and it idled rough for a little bit. But i almost sure something is of because thats the only thing that would cause pressure to build in the intake.
