Default formula for intercooler piping?

I was gonna make my own intercooler piping, but I need to know what pipes to order. Is there are certain number of bends, straight pipes, ect that pretty much everyone ends up ordering? What I am trying to do is order up enough and the right piping so that I can just do some minor adjustments to it to make it fit my car (a 2000 Si with an JRC FMIC, compressor on the passenger's side).

Ok, so I think I will go for 4 2.5" U-bends. Does anyone think I will need some straight pipe too?

Use a little bit of common sense and draw out how you plan to run your pipes. Now count how many bends it'll take to do the job...

Nah. The U-bends have plenty of straight length to them. If you are worried, get the J-bends from summit, they have a bit more.
