Forged Pistons for Build
I'm getting ready to purchase the forged internals for my LS-T build (stock sleeves). I'm going to go with Eagle rods, but I'm unsure on the pistons. It's a daily driver (and I want it to be reliable), and I'm wanting to put down 250-300whp.
So what pistons would you recommend to boost on that would give me a good CR for the daily driving too?? I'm currently thinking the Wiseco's that give about a 9.7:1 CR. Thats only slightly higher than the stock compression ratio.
I'd like to hear some stories of what you've tried and what you thought. I'm wanting to have a nice, fun, and reliable daily that will last me for a long while. Thanks for any help!

Oh yeah, and I know that most people are going to say I can hit that power goal on stock internals, but I just want to make sure that it's safe and lasts a long time. Plus....as other people say, boost is addicting and I might want to turn it up a little in the future if this car ever becomes a pure toy.

CP also has 9.7:1 pistons. I would also consider them, but if you're going to be pushing stock sleeves, I would go as far as recommending a cast piston from Nippon. People have made some nice numbers. Plus they are reliable. Depending on who you ask, some people do not recommend using forged pistons on stock sleeves. Some people say 4032 is ok, but to each his own.

1. cast is great for a tight PWC and a lot of mileage, they however suck *** if you detonate or run lean. if you do decide to go cast there is a lot of thought into just buying a jdm gsr and selling your stock b18b1 for some of the money. the gsr obviously uses cast pistons, has decent rods for 300whp and with that head you won't need more than around 10lbs of boost on a 50-57 trim compressor to get 300whp. an LS will require more pressure.
2. 4032 expands less than 2014 but more than cast. you never ever never can slap a stock size forged piston in a stock block. the piston to wall is all wrong. you have to bore the cylinder to the correct width for the piston to wall your piston calls for. this would be my guess on why the stock sleeve-forged piston rumor was started

Re: Forged Pistons for Build
when i first boosted my b16 i ran SRP 9:5.1 pistons and never had a problem with them. now that im rocking out a fully built Ls block im running SRP 8:5.1. but like stated before its pretty much a personal preference.

Thanks for all of the advice people! I'll have to look into what I'm going to be running as far as PWC. Any other suggestions are much appreciated
