Default Forged Crank and future build

Just joined the site. This has probably been gone over a few times. I have been planning this build for a while now. I have bought a d16y8 block and had it xrayed and machined, bought eagle rods and eagle low cpr pistons. My only question is should I worry about spending the money on a 4340 crank? Im not gonna be happy until im around 400whp :D so that's my horsepower range, the shops I've talked to so far say not to worry about it but i had suspicions.

This has been covered a bunch. Ditch the Y8 crank and get a Z6 one - problem solved. There isn't an aftermarket crank better than OEM.

stock crank will handle anything you can throw at it

but get a z6 crank, it has a much better oiling system than the **** y8 crank.
