Default fmu question

On the vortech fmu's is their a way to check it to see if it's bad or working properly? If i have a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge along with my fmu what should my gauge read on fuel pressure with 240cc injectors and 12:1 fmu? What degree of timing should I run?
Thank You

Well, I don't know much about the FMU's, but for timing it all depends on how much boost you're running. I think stock is fine for at 5 or 6 psi. As for the pressure, do you mean at idle or at full boost? I would think the FMU wouldn't change the idle pressure (about 40psi). As for max pressure it will be over 100psi if you are boosting over 5psi. Do you have an in-cabin guage or under-hood?

I use an air compressor and regulate the pressure down to what I am boosting (10psi) and apply it to the vacuum port on the FMU. Pressure should go up to desired level (dependant on disc).
