Default to fmu, or to not?

hey guys i as thinking about this. should i run an fmu even though i have hondata? my hondata doesnt have the boost option so i know im gonna still have to run a missing link. i was wondering if i need the fmu with it still? its connected to a pr3 ecu and i need to know if i should still run the fmu. im gonna be running about 10 psi or so. let me know what i should do. its gonna get tuned as soon as get an intercooler.

an FMU is what? $100 new? doesn't it only cost like $200 to get the boost option added to your Hondata? Why not just do that instead?

screw the FMU, either get the boost option for hondata or get uberdata, since you already have most of the hardware.

then sell it and use part of that money to help you get the boost option.

ditch that and get uberdata. No worrying about paying extra for "options"

i guess we can't use the stitches/bandaid analogy on this one..

you could say he quit stiching half way and slapped on a bandaid

You can use a fmu around 5psi safely, but if you can step into the world of ecu chipping i would.

FMU=***** Motors Up!

Ditch that POS and get a set of 450's and go Uber

i have the pr3. hondata said the boost option is not available for the pr3 and pw0.
so you guys think i should just scrap the fmu and run with the hondata? the boost option is just to raise the map sensor reading isn't it? or is there more to it then just fuel and the ignition?

Yeah, it's fuel and ignition. Definatly stay away from the FMU! You'll have to convert to OBDI which is no big deal...just a jumper harness and a distributor. Uberdata is free! Hondata charges for the boost option. Either system is a million times better than an FMU.
