Default FMU Needed With Hondata and 440's?

I recently purchased a 99 Civic SI with a JRSC high boost kit already installed on it.The guy bought everything,JRSC kit,hondata s200,440 rc's,aem fuel rail,walbro fp,aem fpr,fluidyne rad,yada yada yada.

Anyway my ? is do I need to keep the JR FMU installed with the hondata and the 440's?I thought it was no longer needed. The car seems to run fine but a little rich.I noticed on hondatas site that the cars tuned on there were not listing an fmu just the fpr.

One other question. Is static fuel pressure with the vac hose connected or disconnected?

So i removed the FMU today and it made a very noticable difference. The hesitation I had is gone and the car seems to pull harder.

Thanks for the help.

I spoke with the head tech at Jackson Racing and he said to remove the FMU and highly recommended it.

It definitely made a huge difference.
