Default FMU discs?

I was wondering where I could get a different FMU disc for the Vortech unit? I am currently running the disc that come with the DRAG kit. I am looking for an 8:1 disc.

You can order them directly off the vortech site.

Summit racing also sells the discs. A little cheaper than Vortech and you can get just one and not the whole kit.

If you have the 10:1 disc I will buy it off you when you get the 8:1. I presently have the 12:1 disc. E-mail me.

let me clarify, i got some IMs about this. they only make one disk, but mine was machined wrong. a small groove the is suppose to be on the bottom of the adaptor ring, was machined on the top of mine. they are sending me a new one so no prob.

WHoa-Whoa-Whoa. No way 10:1 will run lean on stock injectors**. If you use 310cc than you need an 8:1 disc. The 12:1 disc is just overrich and sacrifices power. I don't know why they even give you the damn 12:1, the stock fuel pumps can't get anywhere near the pressure it calls for. This is the deal:

Stock injectors and low boost: 10:1
310cc injectors and low boost: 8:1
High boost: electronic assist of some fashion and 440 or bigger injectors.

(low boost is defined as under 7 psi).

Anyone wanna argue?

Randy

**Disclaimer: of course if you up the compression ratio or don't deal with timing issues then any rate can go lean. I don't expect you to be stupid about this.
