I bought a FMIC from cxracing.com, its 27x6x2.75 big. Ive search and didnt find to much help. But what would be, I guess, the best way to mount it? I know you have to bolt it to the bumper support But I talking about am i going to have to trim the inside of the bumper and other things like that. DIY or anything like that would help.

 

take your bumper off and see what will be the best was to mount it. Test fit it and check the clearences with the bumper.

Just fugure it out mount it the way that makes the most sense.

 

yep, best way is to mock fit the thing and see what needs to be modified to make it fit, its not really that hard.

 

I didn't have to trim any of the plastic part of the bumper. I don't remember what size I got either. I did mine like this:

Leaned it up like this then outlined it with a sharpie.

wow, you spent a lot of time, or took a lot of pictures on that mounting. it looks really good tho. Honestly, i just cut my bumper support completely out in the center, to where as though either side of it still bolts to the frame and holds the bumper, but theres nohing in the middle but intercooler. BTW its a precision 750hp

I have a better picture with the bumper off but its on my other comp. It'll be up soon.



Just take the bumper off and see what needs to be cut or drilled for the mouting. Measure 10 times and cut once or do it my way and just cut and cut and cut until it fits. lol

 

Heres how i mounted mine, i think it was 29x8x3 ebay special... marked out on the bumper support and went at it with a dremel.







Just trimmed the black grill from behind until the bumper fit snug again.

 

i have the big fat ic from CX racing also and it bolts on jus tneed to weld brackets to hold it
