Fmax H22A4 dyno results-not too good
what's up guys, here is my dyno plots of my 99 SH....boost is set to 0.55 kg/cm2 or 7.81 psi...whp=203.6 and torque=184.9...there is two plots, one with type s cams set to zero deg and 0 deg/psi on BTM and the other is with the cam adjusted and with same setting on BTM http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...6/fddf426f.jpg
here is a list of my mods:
fmax turbo kit with MF2 and BTM-T3/T4B 0.63 Stage 3/0.48 H-3
VAFC
AVCR
Apexi turbo timer
Type S cams-intake=4 retard/exhaust=3 advance
AEM cam gears and pulleys
MSD 6A and Blaster 2
FJO wideband O2
my A/F's were 11.8-12.2:1 whenever i boost...what do u guys think i should do?...should i ditch the t3/t4b and get a t3/t4e 0.63 Stage 3/0.57 trim with 0.60 a/r?...any suggestions?

yeah that graph looks all over the place. i'd tune that mf2 first before getting a new turbo. btw why you still using the vafc?

i use it to fine tune the fuel mixture and adjust the vtec x-over...i have the mf2 already setup and i lean out the fuel with the vafc

ok vtec crossover i can see, but to lean out fuel with the vafc??? that would mean you programed the mf2 to run rich just to lean it out w/ the vafc. why not just let the mf2 handle the fuel alone.
edit: btw you dont need a bigger turbo. i have a similar turbo but w/ .48 and i put down silimar #s at ~7.3-.5psi, so its not yor turbo limitations.

in my own personal opinion, a b series is too small.
i also think without standalone the h22 will just not work well when boosted.

even with the standalone there is something wrong...i only got 200whp and 210 torque at 9psi with the fmax and hondata 2b. I think the closed loop might be stealing about 20whp, but there still lies the problem of the turbo....i heard some say the compressor wheel is too small...others think i'm getting blow by on the stock cams. H22s basically don't respond like they're supposed to unless you rebuild it.

when I get mine on the dyno i'll let you guys what i get. I have my wastegate open and i am using a fmu instead of the mf2, I have to install my btm, boost controller and find someone to make me a test pipe before i do though. my car is significantly more powerful than stock. i don't think i'll be disapointed with the numbers i'll get.

Is the BTM a timing adjuster? You say its set to 0, meaning its not pulling any timing? Where is your ignition timing set?

well, without an EGT gauge, I'd have to look at the chart and figure out a few things:
1. No boost retard = detonation
2. The turbo is undersized
3. Mustang tuner's shouldn't be tuning Hondas

what's up kenji,
my egt's are 890-900 C at WOT...the timing is set to stock at 15 deg BTDC...whenever i retarded the timing at 0.25 deg/psi, i lost alot of power in the topend...the mustang guy didn't touch my car...i just rented the dyno for a couple of hours and tuned it myself using FJO wideband O2 and the dyno...i also got a CEL today, a misfire in cylinder 3, and a lumpy idle sometimes...debating whether to switch to stock cams

Re: Fmax H22A4 dyno results-not too good (sgT)
compression test results
1 = 240
2 = 230
3 = 230
4 = 240
i am going to switch back to stock cams...i still have a lumpy idle with the type s cams...set to -4 intake and +3 exhaust...thinking of ditching the mf2 and getting a fmu...what ratio should i get? and do i need an inline pump?...i got the 255 lph walbro intank already

Hey, I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I heard Type S cams arn't good for Turbo cars. (Something about the loobs being to big) I dunno.
I made 205 whp and 215 lbs of torque with a drag 2 kit boosting 5 lbs.
I got the same set-up minus the AEM pulleys and Type S cams. Both of theose things are stock.
Just needs some better tuning and you'll be all good.

Re: Fmax H22A4 dyno results-not too good (H22TurboATR)
what is the size of your turbo?...wtf is up with these prelude kits...b series make some good power but the h series kinda suck
