Fmax blew my engine
OK ...it all started at the beginning of the summer after I installed my fmax turbo kit with the msd btm option....When I first got it back ..the car was running like crap...after 5500 rpm the car did not want to move..it kept hesitating....Then for the three days i got my had my car back after the install..I took the car back twice to figure out the problem.... Once in a while after I stepped full throttle..the car would shut off completely after two shifts to redline on first and second gear? The third day my engine detonated...The result was a bent rod..in the first cylinder....For about a month and a half I was left with no car...confused at who was liable...I finally got my engine rebuilt last monday and yesterday I went out with my mechanic to tune the new fuel management unit because I think the mf2 fmax gave was crap...I now have a boost gauge in and after one run I noticed the boost peaked out at over 1 bar(over 14psi!!!)..The wastegate that was supposed to be included in the kit was about 8-9psi....After i saw that I was so pissed off...Fmax is definetely going to be paying for my bill...
Sorry pal, but YOU blew your motor by not properly (or at ALL in your case) installing a boost gauge PRIOR to beating on the car.
I'm sorry, but I cannot by sympathetic for someone who will dump $5000 into their turbo setup and then boost all over it right away without watching boost readings -- it's just common sense, don't you think?
I'm sure FMAX will tell you the same.

I would be VERY surprised if you got any money out of FMAX from this.....they probably included a bunch of fine writing with the kit that you might want to read.

Im with eveyone one on this, not to flame but you gotta cover your butt. If you put all the $ in the car you have to get it tuned etc. I guess take it as a learning experience etc.
yep...learn from it..dont try to blame anyone else. had you stopped beating on the car at first it maight have been saved. I know its hard to not beat on a car aftyer a new part but you need to use your head.
You are too...maybe we should both get together so are lawyers can work on the case. All I did was run 2 bar on a stock motor and my **** blew...damn turbonetics. haha
actually, there really is someone suing MC donalds Wendy's and Burger King for causing his helth problems citing they didn't advertise that the food wasnt good for you.
BTW Cliffstar, how did someone from FMAX get a hold of your car and beat the hell out of it? you'll get nothing and desrve nothing.

Somebody is already doing that. I heard it on the radio a few weeks ago that somebody is working on a class action lawsuit against several fast food companies, holding them liable for the majority of the American population being overwight.
I'm serious!
