flywheel question...
I agree with dustin.. the physics just work out. Problem is, why do reputable companies such as South Florida Performance do NOT recommend aluminum light-weight flywheels on turbocharged vehicles? I called them and their argument was the loss of rotating mass.. less torque. :/
I personally would not put a lightweight fly on my car... I already have the low end torque of a 5Hp go kart... and I disagree that light flys don't reduce torque output at low rpm.... ok, they don't reduce it, they are just incapable of transferring the torque to overcome friction efficiently due to lower rotational mass... and if you disagree .
do NOT recommend aluminum light-weight flywheels
