I agree with dustin.. the physics just work out. Problem is, why do reputable companies such as South Florida Performance do NOT recommend aluminum light-weight flywheels on turbocharged vehicles? I called them and their argument was the loss of rotating mass.. less torque. :/
Hey, SFP prolly doesn't recommend lightweight flys because they don't want you to be fast ! Damn domestic shop... shame they have mad inventory...

I personally would not put a lightweight fly on my car... I already have the low end torque of a 5Hp go kart... and I disagree that light flys don't reduce torque output at low rpm.... ok, they don't reduce it, they are just incapable of transferring the torque to overcome friction efficiently due to lower rotational mass... and if you disagree .

do NOT recommend aluminum light-weight flywheels
I wouldn't recommend aluminum flys either... they can't be resurfaced.
