Default Fluttering..

So my car has been running great for 6-7 months and i've had this flutter ever since i got the car thought it was the BOV... well i swapped out the bov for a greddy type S and now i'm getting the flutter and the bov sound. it's doesn't sound like compressor surge though.. it sounds like a BOV... i'm running a tial 38mm wastegate it shouldn't be making that sound should it?

I have loosen the BOV screw on the top all the way and then did 3 full turns could that still be set to hard? Cause It could be compressor surge it just sounds different then when i delt with this on my sr20

And my setup is LS-T with a Garret t3/t4e 60 trim I have a video but for some reason it's not posting to youtube but i'm more then willing to send it via text to whomever thinks they can help

Sounds like you're still getting surge. You may need to open the BOV up and check how many springs are inside. If it has two, remove one, then try again.

You can have flutter from lower pressures, or just coming out of vacuum. It is normal. Now if its happening at full boost pressure used, (Sounding normal with a subsequent flutter, then sound off, only then do you have a problem.)

Yeah my car slightly flutters at 1-2 psi. A slight flutter for a split second then a small whoosh only under 3 psi though. You can loosen the greddy bov with the nut on the top. I believe there are 2 ports on that bov. 1 going to the intake manifold and 1 going to the turbo. Having both of them hooked up helps the bov release the pressure faster. Maybe Shodan can elaborate on this. I've been meaning to do it with my bov but I'm unsure.

You're fine.. you're not surging.

Turned out to be my Boost Gauge leaking and it's was tee'd into the BOV removed it to see and no flutter. Replaced Gauge problem fixed
