Default flex section in downpipe

Im going to assume this has been covered but when i searched i got this.

"Your search for flex section returned no results.
Please try different search criteria or a different data set."

I understand you don't need a flex section but ive read that it puts pressure on the manifold and the turbo when there isn't one when the engine moves around. correct? what are your opinions on the necessity of flex sections.

You need a flex pipe for sure, if the downpipe is connected to the exhaust.
