Flex piping for a cheap downpipe?
Before you guys flame, this post is for my friend that's on a budget. He wanted me to post and ask if he could make a downpipe out of flex piping because he doesn't have the money to get one right now (he has a 93 EG, D16z6). This is a junkyard turbo setup by the way. Hes tired of me beating him in my NA y8 . Any ideas?

yep it can be done. not a problem. my buddy has it on his turbo teg.
just by a flange for like $10 and the flex pipe for less than $10 or buy an exhaust repair kit. and weld them together. just watch that flex pipe is pretty thin and you'll burn right through it.

My car uses one too, but it uses the exhuast clamps to hold it on. What's the worse thing that could happen ?? Less back presure ?? That's a good thing !!!
