flat top pistons?
Flat top means that they don't have a domed top for all motor high compression or a dished top for lower compression turbo. The top is flat except for the valve reliefs cut into it.
All that means is instead of having a dish in them, they are a flat top.

Open that up, look at the pistons on page 1. The top piston is a dished piston, second piston is a flat top.

well there ya go,
they're just called flattop cuz they happen to have no dish or dome, just completely flat!
But the CR is what they do, and it is 9.5 aparently.
so you could use them for a turbo application if you wanted,
would be nice and fairly responsive, but still not too hard to tune,
just kinda mid range as far as compression goes...
would be sorta low for an allmotor application though..
for refrence, most dseries engines are around 9.2, b16's are.. what.. 10.3 ?
