Default AN fitting for a GE rail

Hey guys! I need your help. The -6 to something weird fittings that I got for my GE fuel last summer are not giving me a warm and fuzzy so I need your help sourcing the correct item. Yes, I have contacted GE but I wasn't too pleased with handling fee they want to charge to ship to a military PO box.

You don't have to buy the item for me, just point me in the correct direction. I need -6 adapters so my old fuel setup with mate to the rail. Yes, I can get -6 male fittings welded to the rail but that would be a waste of a good rail since I want to upgrade a -8/-6 setup next spring.

Thanks and happy holidays from the JDM motherland

Is the hole on your rail an AN o-ring boss? do you remember what size AN ORB it is or what GE part number your rail is? if you go to http://www.summitracing.com and do a search for AN STRAIGHT CUT or AEROMOTIVE FITTINGS you'll get a bunch of o-ring boss fittings. Earls makes a lot of the same AN to ORB reducers/fittings that Aeromotive does but you have to look through all their fittings to find it.

Have you checked your redneck bibles. (Summit / Jegs)

They both carry what you need I am sure.

The porblem is I have no idea about the size of the rail side NPT hole. We have some extra -6 to 1/2" fittings in the shop and those did not fit.

I use AN plumbing to find PN's and then I order the parts from Summit

Oh yeah, it is the O-ring boss type.

Do you have any extra AN fittings laying around that you can screw in there? the thread pitch will still be the same. If you have an -8AN fitting laying around it hsould screw in. That'll tell you it's an -8AN thread pitch, so then you can get a -8AN ORB to AN flared.

Do you have a part number for the fuel rail? or what kind of motor the fuel rail was for?

EDIT is it an older style GE fuel rail or something? I looked on their site and all of their B and D series rails say they have -8AN ORB ports.

I found my old fitting packages. PN991956 -6 to 18mm-1.5 power steering fitting is what I have now. I hacked the PS specific nipple off of the fittings before I installed them. I am trying to find -6 (and -8) to 18mm-1.5 fitting that isn't for power steeering.

My rail is about 1.5 years old and it came with some useless oddball fittings that found their way to the trash bin

Damn, I completely forgot about Stan. Thanks for reminding me

I just read my old post from last year were Flamenco mentioned the -8 fitting so I guess I'll use PN9919EFK 18MM X 1.5 -8 Metric thread male to AN adapter male and make some minor changes to my fuel lines.
