Default First time with turbo! Dyno vid

This is my first Turbo car. I'm use to NA, H22 to be specific. But i love boost, still learning stuff. I just got my car dyno'd and tuned. Put down 194HP 173tq on 6.6 pounds seems kinda of weak i think? let me know what you guys think. I have a Sleeved block that I am building this winter. The Head lights and corners are hideous, yes car needs work. I traded for my old hatch. I had to put an ls and slapped this turbo i had on it.

appears so and if the dump is dumping near the turbo that could really KILL your power

to be honest 1st gear, and all of second spins until third it starts to catch. It pulls pretty REAL strong. Ill try to get a in car and outside view on video...... Yes, the turbo manifold is missing two bolts because of the stupid design. I already decided what i am going to do to fix it. i have to put short studs in the two places. then put slim nuts in it.....

that is kind of hard to believe, I am running 193whp and 179wtq and I hook in 1st gear and 2nd quite well and I have steelies with shitty tires.

like up to 100whp worth of killing power with a badly placed dumptube

dump it away from the turbo inlet and under the oil pan, basically you want no possibility of the turbo sucking in the hot air being dumped.

just a rpm pick up---not timing. you can pick it up from any cylinder or even the coil wire

You are barely even testing that setup. At 6 psi, those numbers seem about normal for what you have done.

So turn the bosot up and have fun, it has a lot left in it.

Also post the sheet if you have one... what gear were you doing the dyno pulls in?

That tells us what FRAME SIZE the compressor is and cover size, but nothing that matters. You need to list: turbine TRIM (stage #), compressor TRIM, turbine housing AR, downpipe & exhaust size (cat, muffler?)

FWIW a D16 will usually make around 200whp with ~7psi on a 57trim t3/t04e .63ar stg3 turbine. Also my D16 made 160whp with 6psi on a 50trim T3 and 8:1 compression with stock cat/exhaust. You could have a 46trim using a stg1/.48ar hotsde, which would be more likely for those numbers on a B18 non-vt@k.

sorry man once again im new but learning! Ya as for the TRIM i have not a clue, i got the set it with a trade and put the LS in and slapped the turbo on.

As for what gears we did the pulls, it was between 3rd and 4th gear pulls
