I was thinking about doing a swap to get up past 200+ hp but once i seen this im def going to stick with this motor. I was going to msg you but i just joined so apparently I cant do so. Basically all im looking to do is get up about atleast 200+hp and still use this as a daily driver in the summer time. What would you suggest doing since your the pro on here about these d series motors. About how much would it cost me to get this above 200 and how much did it cost you for your whole setup?

Yeah, it's because of the stupid tall gearing. I'm geared for 114mph in 3rd, and 157mph in 4th!

It's really hurting the ET and trapspeeds past the 1/8th. I just sheared the teeth off of my 3rd gear, so I might do some custom gearing for 3rd and 4th while it's out of the car.

RC750's, they are too small though- beyond maxxed out, AFR's are way lean at high rpm. 880's would be perfect. Turbo is an ebay 57trim, .63a/r turbine.

Thanks. I tuned it, as I am the tuner at Speedfactory.

I already did it, if you do 3rd you'll need to do 4th as well. The only 3rd gear worth changing for you is to a ZC 3rd, have fun finding it. You'll probably need to buy a whole trans. The only 4th that supports your trap speed is the 1.033 from either the ZC or an HF CRX.

Throw me a PM if you're serious about it, I can give you some ideas.

1200-1220*F, probe is in the DP right off the turbine housing.

All the 400+ setups are using standard bore 75mm Vitaras.

They got them from me. I am an official Seller/dealer/distributor of YCP Vitara pistons

About 3 years now.

Haha, yeah I guess you could say that. That was quite an experience.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by bch5428 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">holy crap, my EGTs are like 1550 (turbo d series)!! my probe is just off the head on the number 3 runner. i wonder how big a difference the the placement of the probe would make.

Placement will make a big difference. That's one of the reasons why you shouldn't compare your EGT's with other peoples.

I can't say that I'd recommend using a knockoff turbo, as it can be hit and miss. We only used this one for kicks to see how it would do when pushed hard.

We've all heard a million different things about these, all I know is that most that I've seen seem to do just fine. I just happen to be one of the few that've pushed one this hard, and so far so good. It makes good power and has held up great.

Yeah, it finally happened. I had a passenger in the car when it happened- I wonder if the added load contributed to the breakage. It was during a 3rd gear roll on.

What does the treatment cost? And turn-around time?
