Don't feel too bad about your times, a friend of mine's first time at the track with a high powered FWD got him a bunch of 13.4-13.6's at 115-117 mph, and one nifty 12.8@120 where he didn't **** the shift into third too badly.
If your suspension isn't set up really well it can be troublesome, the track might have been poorly prepared, and street tires can suck a lot at the dragstrip with how they slide around on the rubber laid into the track. Keep working at it, your trap speeds say your car is nasty.
