finally got to the track turbo b16
Didnt do as good as i hoped to, but it was my first time at the track in 2 years, and the first time boosted.
Setup:
91 civic dx
b16a
tuned on chrome pro
log mani, t3/04e 60 trim .63
dsm 450s
2.5" downpipe/ exhaust
~9.5 psi
First time i ran a 14.3 with waayy to much rev limitier. second time i hit a 13.7, and the last time i upped the boost a bit and kept hitting boost cut and couldnt rev past 6, so i ran a 16.3.
Best run:
r/t .162
60 2.252
330 6.119
1/8 9.091
mph 84.14
1000 11.617
1/4 13.722
mph 105.13
I was launching at 5200 with about 18psi in my dunlop 195 street tires.

Re: finally got to the track turbo b16 (Maveric)
Not bad...I'd like to think you have a lot of room for improvement though, even if your 60's are 2.2 I think you should be in the lower 13's.

i would too, i was disapointed in mysefl mostly, i was hoping for sub 13.5s
Thing is, i had incredible amounts of wheel hop. It was insane. so i think if i plan on going back to the track, a full race traction bar is a necessity. I dont wanna break anything cause its my daily driver. Except now when i drive straight my steering wheel is pointed a few degrees to the left. Is it possible i bent something with all that wheel hop?

Idk, haven't dynoed it yet. My goal was 270 at 9-10 psi, but judging by my trap speeds maybe its lower than that? MOre like 240ish

no offence man but something doesnt seem right with those #'s
i currently run a boosted y8 with a kkk k26 turbo (about the same as a t3) on 7psi and im hitting about the same #'s as you
13.8@102mph
prevoius times were 14.0 at 104mph
im also on the shittiest tires ever made by dunlop, good ol gt qaulifiers
whats your tune like ?? afr ?? timing ??
im also using crome as well but not the pro version, to broke right now

Re: (BlackCRX)
Tuned on chromopro by a tuner, 11.5-12.3:1 depending on weather and what not ( full boost). I forgot what timing was set to, maybe 18 up top ?
This is also a shitty track, where its known to gain up to a second going to other tracks.
I do feel something is holding this car back though. Dont know of its my log manifold, or the 2.5" crush bent downpipe. 2.5" catback could be bigger, but i still wonder if something else is choking her up.
Dont get me wrong, i admit i'm not the best track driver, so with some more practice i think she could come down some more... but at 9lbs i was expecting a bit more.
