Default FINALLY BOOSTED!!! Dyno chart inside :-D

After 3 years of saving all my pennies and eating top ramen my **** is finally running(notice I didn't say done).

Dyno was on 92 octane, 7psi, 8.1:1 compression, with AFR's in the 11's I decided to pull the rev down to around 6k...you can see its still pulling. On the few pulls that were done at 7k it will still pulling :-P So I decided im not going to find out where it peaks and keep my rod bolts inside my engine :-D

The torque you say? Its a 2.4L in a Neon I'll have some vids and pics of it soon... soon as it stops raining. When it was dry I was doing burnouts as soon as boost hit in 1st 2nd and hashing them in 3rd. Oh boy I love boost :-D

Anyone have any suggestions for an oil cooler? What weight oil do you guys run as well? My oil pressure drops to around 35-40 psi at idle after its warmed up. 60 driving warm, 80 idling cold. ***** still pretty cold outside....around 30-40 at nights and in the mornings. gets to like 60-70 during the day. Im running a mix of 10-30/0-30/15-40 mostly 10-30 tho Mobil1. About 4 quarts in a 6.5 quart capacity.

did I read you only put 4 quarts of oil in the motor, when it should have 6.5 quarts?

Great power

That manifold and turbo are sick!

Did I see you driving around the other day without your bumper on? Black intercooler?

I remember seeing a neon up in the Delta Park area with a FMIC, just wondering if that was you...

Nah I had 6.5 quarts in it,

YES THAT WAS ME :-D I was at Baxters picking up roll cage padding. I had the bunmper off because I just got done at Torque Freaks.
Im a big fan of flat black spray paint. hahah

Turbo is a t3/to4s .70AR 67 trim .63AR 76 trim

what do you drive EJ1 Wilcox? We should meet up at PIR sometime...or woodburn

I thought that car looked familiar...

I drive this POS... http://img.photobucket.com/alb...c.jpg

I plan on going to as many events at PIR and Woodburn as possible this season... I might even take my car down the track to see what she can do...

Maybe I'll see you there!

still raining today... so no video's. The car has a ghey paint scheme on the side of it that my uncle decided to spite me with....so in a couple months it will be red all over again:-D UBER sleeper. IM going to try and quiet the car down considerably so that it sounds and looks stock...until the external gate opens and the turbo screams :-D

Thanks for the props guys!!! I should have some times come friday night...with some video, if it doesn't rain.

I was confused to which line on the graph was torque and which was HP. You know us honda guys aint use to seeing something like that! What are you trying to do, fool us? Nice work man! I respect guys like you that build your car. Not the guys in the SRT-4s that think they can get the car from the showroom and beat anything on the street. Well it's like that in Germany anyways! Good luck!

thanks again you guys.

I turned the boost up to around 10 psi...still does burnouts and torque steers like a ****! I got to race a 383 Road Runner on the way to Baxters tonight. put it in 3rd gear at 45 and just started walking. I love it!

Yeah I havent raced any SRT-4's yet, but I'll be on the look out for a cocky one. Maybe I'll find one at PIR on Friday and get him on video :-D

I had a majoir problem wednesday...my starter wheel bolts(basically flywheel...its a modular clutch system...all messed up) took out the metal dirt shield that is sandwitched between the block and the tranny. It made this tick tick tick sound for a couple of seconds and then a loud WHAM! then more click click click. I had to take the tranny out to get that **** working. Turns out I ordered the wrong shield...I got the shield for a PT Cruiser NA 2.4L, and I should've gotten it for a Stratus 2.4L DOH! live and learn. So I spent all this day(wednesday fixing it) Went to Baxters and picked myself up a new Aluminum Jack and a new Autometer CF boost gauge...since my last one took a **** on me.

Plans for the week... Get some 104-110 in it and do some tuning on the backroads. Hit up PIR on Friday night with some C16 in it w/out the wideband and my 25" slicks.

The little **** that I need to fix are...
epoxy magents on timing wheel
opoxy plug in oil leak
teflon the oil fittings for the oil pressure gauge so they dont leak
Get a TiAL bov and replace teh dsm one i have $$$$
get a timing light and make sure that my timing is correct( 20 degrees total timing is 20 degrees and not 25 )
my steering wheel is upside down
clean all the crap out from inside it
weld in my cage
Get some 104/110/116 so I can turn it up more
Get the knock sensor hooked up and programmed.
my oil pressure gauge's light went out
driver side door only opens from the outside
install the boost gauge
put on my front bumper
replace the burnt out bulb in my headlights
flush and bleed new DOT3 brake fluid :-D
get the tach and tach adapter to work
order a 180-190 degree thermostat for when the temp goes up or track days.
replace my drain line(currently rubber) with braided line and AN fittings.
Install 1:1 FPR with return lines and modify Walbro 255lph
buy a fuel rail that is tapped for an fittings.
Get my IC piping powdercoated and VC
get the manifold, turbine, downpipe, and dumptube coated

so yeah tons of **** to do yet, but it will all get done within the month

With the smaller turbo, the SRT motor builds intial torque alot quicker, but in the end your pretty much the same as a stock to mild bolt-on SRT. However your a little trimmer
around the love handles

I wouldn't have any doubt that you could hang or take one, although if you both got caught well into the depths of the mid range, the SRT low end may have advantage.

Nice setup though, fast is where you make it. I like the manifold design, looks like efficiency is still good.
