sup, guys..
I'm having a problem with VTEC after I installed a turbo(worked fine before turbo).. It pulls like crazy ONLY until VTEC starts working.. when VTEC engages, my engine starts strugling to go any faster.. in fact, it's damn slow and hestates surprizingly bad(checked oil level and it's fine).. so I have no VTEC(set at 7000) until 7000RPM but I try not to rev it past 6500RPM 'cause of VAFC hack(ignition timing)...
I'm assuming it's maybe the oil pressure but I haven't heard or seen anybody having a problem with VTEC in a B16 w/turbo, yet... any ideas besides the oil pressure? I want to hear some things that might effect vtec operation before I do anything..
I got the proper feed/drain lines... double checked everything possible.. no luck yet..
Thanks in advance!!

Well, VTEC might be engaging but the motor is running too lean or rich and it starts to act wierd. Do you have anything to show a/f ratio? Is it detonating?

no I don't but I know for sure it's not detonating... if it was i'd know..
but yeah, tuning could be the problem but why would the engine start to hestate ONLY when VTEC engages..
my vafc is set around at -36% all across..
oh, oops.. I said no VTEC for the title... I meant to say vtec problem..
thanks

I had a similar problem, is it when u get into higher rpm's it starts to bog like the car is about to blow, but when u press the accel softly it starts to pick up ok??? what kind of injectors are you running?

yes!! very similar to how you explained about touching the gas peddal part...
but it starts bogging/hestating when ONLY VTEC is engaged in boost..
I'm using dsm 450cc's

even if I lean it out, it still does it.. and with vafc set at -36% and and fuel press. at 44psi, the spark plugs look a tad bit running lean... but yeah it definatly needs tuning.. but I can't still see how vtec doesn't operate properly...
before boost, it's ok when vtec engages but (again) ONLY when I'm in boost w/vtec engaged or vise versa..

Hey ok i think i kno what your problem is and who can help you he did my whole setup over and the hesitating stopped pm DRAGLS....how do u have your wastegate hooked up? what boost controller are you using? and how many PSI's are you running at now?

same problem i had. u have a timing issue. leaning it out wont work minus well keep it rich until ur tuned to keep ur motor from blowing.
