Bracing the manifold?
Im assuming to handle the weight of the manifold its self , as well as the turbo and downpiping?

I can look at having some sort of bracing placed between the flanges. A simple piece of metal welded between the flange that is agains the head to the side of the flange where the turbo bolts up.

Make sure you have flex pipe in your DP. Look around and see what other people have done. Or just see where everyone else is cracking and take it into a shop and tell them where you want the braces.

You might want to brace the wastegate as well. Overall I must say you having a positive attitude makes helping you a lot easier, lol!

Honestly I paid less than 400$ bucks for the kit, by no means was this a high budget build just attempting to educate myself and have a little fun in a fairly inexpensive manor with the intent to replace cheap parts with quality parts as I become more knowledgable in owning and maintaining a boosted honda. Keep the comments coming no harm taken !

this is something ill never understand with some people and there builds. what you think is an inexpensive build will become an expensive build. why buy cheap to learn when you can run the risk of damaging other moving parts inside the engine. ill have to find the link, but there is a guy that used a cheap screen as a filter on his turbo. turns out the turbo sucked in the screen and now he has to strip down the motor to see if it did some major damage, thats just some food for thought. i see building a turbo car like trying to market yourself as an artist. whatever you think it may cost to turbo your car, well multiple that by 3. you can call it over board but it all adds up quick. there are other things you have to consider if you want to actually use this new found powa!

If you are going to run that ebay turbo just keep an eye on it so that you have a chance to catch any problems before it wrecks your engine. It's hit and miss with ebay turbos you might get a good one you might not. Btw I had this turbo on my crx it lasted like 3 months before it was smoking and had crazy shaft play.

There things like:
Tires, suspension, engine mounts, transmission and traction bar, but everyone is different and so are there goals. Wheel spin isn't much fun

That would be a ebay wastegate... My very first turbo build years ago I also used a ebay turbo kit but paid more to have a turbonetics turbo included instead of the ebay turbo. Needless to say in 6 months I had everything except the intercooler replaced with authentic parts... Cracking manifolds, boost spikes and compressor surge are never fun.
Just some food for thought, you always end up spending more money trying to save money. Just the way she goes boys, just the way she goes.
Good to see your sticking with it tho!

yeah iam beginning to see that now , after purchasing a new engine yesterday i can say that cheap wastegate set me back about 800 bucks and about a week of downtime. A hard head makes a light pocket.
