Default Finally 11sec pass..

Wasuppppp.. Went to the track last night and car ran a 1.6 60ft and sputtered all of 2nd gear and still ran a 11.80 @ 121mph.. I will be posting my time slip tomo when the stupid scanner is working. Could have been much better but car was sputtering and it was the last run.. Found out later that the plugs were loose and were leaking all the boost.. Hopefully very low 11 sec pass coming up veryyy soon...

We finally took out LS/VTEC 92 VX HB to the track last night and ran a 12.8 on all motor. We have a 120 shot direct-port NOS, but the it was not hooked up, I hope next week we can pull into the 11's with the bottle.

hey boostedg3, do you have emissions tests where you are in PA? Is your car daily driven. or at least street legal?

No we have no emmissions in my part of PA but the car does get driven on the street. It was my daily driver until about 3 weeks ago when I bought a Chevy Astrovan that im going to use to tow it. There is no way it would pass an emmissions test because i run the a/f ratio so rich ansd the fact that I dont have a cat. Thanks guys it took a while but I finally am getting somewhere with the car. I started with a JRSC and trust me that was the wwrong foot to start out on so im very happy with my progress. Im jsut hoping that I can get into the low 11s with a little more boost and some good tuning.

Boosted 3G - Thanks 4 list of setup. Could you give opinions on following:

-Skunk 2 intake manifold
-62mm BBK throttlebody
-Fluidyne radiator
-Moroso 5 quart oil pan

I'm in the process of my first turbo setup and would appreciate the help regarding these items. Thanks.

boosted3g, did you keep your Crower cams in with the Drag 3? I would think the overlap would be too much with the 403's. I know with the 402', they are even too much. I have the 402's in my LS and I was thinking of changing the exhaust Crower cam for the stock one and keeping the 402 as the intake.

If you didn't do that....give it a try. Swap the exhaust cam for the stock one and do a couple of runs. You'll probably get a better time.

When I switched from the stock cams to the 403s the difference was night and day with the turbo. I have no dyno proof but the car pulls way harder in the higher revs. I shift my car at 7600 and it wants to pull past it I jsut dont want to rev it any higher. Im actually going to get a custom grind soon. Same as the 403 jsut with a little more lift.

I like the Skunk manifold and for the price I think it is worth it. The BBK tb is ok but I should have got a larger one. For the price of it I wouldnt recommend it, for 50 more dollars I should have gotten the Holley 68mm. I love the Fluidyne and the moroso pan. Both are top notch quality and mad a big difference in the cars temp. I put nearly everything on at the same time and when the car came out of my garage it ran so much cooler. I never get near where the stock temp is unless im sitting in traffic.

boosted3g

Thanks for the info. I've sent off for the Skunk manifold & am shopping around trying to get reasonable prices on the rest.
