FI EXPERTS - ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Yes, ive searched before you ask. Heres my setup :
B18C1
T3/T4 Turbo
BLOX manifold
custom Charge pipes
Stainless pressure lines
So my cars been acting funny only spooling to 5 psi so I take off all my charge piping and reconnect them nice and snug. I am not using a boost controller and my Tial spring default is 10.5 psi. ( Big yellow spring for techs ) After I reconnect my charge piping, my boost goes to 1 psi by about 4600 rpm, and above that, it promptly drops to 15 hg VACUUM! and this is WOT. I have never seen this before. I swapped my BOV ( Tial ) and I swapped my wastegate, just tested again, same exact thing. Could my turbo be dead? There is zero shaft play and no smoke or anything. All vac nipples and hoses are connected, charge piping is as tight as can be. Does anyone have any ideas? has anyone seen a dead turbo create vacuum? Am I missing something super easy here? any help? Thanks

yeah you should not see any vacuum with the throttle wide open. If that's really the case you could check for a blockage in the intake, charge pipes, intercooler. make sure you have the wastegate connected properly, try disconnecting it..

everything is hooked up, before i took the pipes apart to tighten them, the turbo built 5 psi, now it builds 1 before plummeting to -15. Wastegate is plumbed back in. THe car drove fine and built 7psi until one day.. I dont get it? If theres something blocking the charge piping yer saying that will cause the vac condition? The wastegate is setup fine, port on bottom, stainless line, so its not leaking or anything funky. Ill try disconnecting it in a few
